Academics' Red Lump is a Quick Item in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Like regular Red Lump, it is used to gain red-eyes and reduce flinching from enemy attacks, but also prohibits the use of Resurrection.

That thing should have been a red lump that refresh when resting, a single use item is so... useless.

"It is currently unknownif the item has any other purpose." Well you see you also need Ashina Lettuce, Mibu Tomato and the sauce from Fountainhead Palace. Use Flamevent on it 3 times, then consume at once to instant kill all bosses.

After finishing Doujun’s quest line, I got “Master & Pupil Red Bead” instead of this item. Please, can anyone tell me why this happened?

The item description is kinda vague. I was thinking that maybe after you die while using it, you retain the less flinch ability but regain the resurrection ability. Anyone know if that is correct or is it just a one and done item?
