Adamantite Scrap is a special Upgrade Material in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Adamantite Scrap is required for upgrading Prosthetic Tools, and can be found in several Locations and as a drop from certain Enemies.
Adamantite Scrap Usage
- Bring this material to The Sculptor located at the Dilapidated Temple to upgrade the Prosthetic Tools.
- 2 are needed for Golden Vortex
- 2 are needed for Sparking Axe
- 2 are needed for Leaping Flame
- 2 are needed for Sen Throw
- 4 are needed for Piercing Sabimaru
- 2 are needed for Purple Fume Spark
- 5 are needed for Lazulite Shuriken
- 4 are needed for Lazulite Sabimaru
- 5 are needed for Lazulite Axe
Where to Find Adamantite Scrap
- Ashina Castle: Dropped by purple ninja near Antechamber Idol (Late-Game)
- Spear Adept (rare loot drop) [unlocked by any two boosts in item discovery]
- Sold by the Merchant: Exiled Memorial Mob for 600 Sen
- Sunken Valley - 1 can be found right above Riven Cave Idol.
- Ashina Depths - 1 can be found inside the temple of the Mist Noble.
- Mibu Village - From the shrine with the sake, grapple up and go along the wall to pick up 1.
- Mibu Village - 1 can be found behind the structure and outside of the house where the drinking NPC is found.
- Mibu Village - Travel to the Mibu Village idol and leave the idol toward the village and lake. Once at the lake jump in and swim toward the right side where the dock is located - you can grapple up here. Once grappled up, go straight ahead and down into the ravine. You'll find the item along with a Pine Resin Ember which is located on the house at the end of the ravine.
- Fountainhead Palace - chance to be dropped by the enemies wearing masks.
- Fountainhead Palace - from the large courtyard, you can acquire 1 inside the building where there is a flute player and beasts.
- Fountainhead Palace - 1 can be acquired inside the house where a 1x masked guard with a polearm, and a red-robbed noble can be found.
- Fountainhead Palace - there is 1 lying around the area where the Sakura Bull of the Palace is encountered.
- Fountainhead Palace - dive underneath the building where the woman standing on a rooftop is found, where you'll find 1 on the roof of a half-sunken building; and 1 more can be acquired inside the cave of the Great Carp - but beware to head inside the cave once the Great Carp is dead.
- Whilst affected by Sinister Burden from the Demon Bell, Straw-Hat Monks outside the front door of the Main Hall Sculptor Idol will have a chance to drop Adamantite Scrap after certain bosses have been killed - Guardian Ape seems to be a guaranteed trigger. They will not drop Adamantite before this is triggered. Equip the Golden Vortex and charge it right before leaving the front door. Then run up to the two monks and let the Vortex make you rich. Run back in and rest. To save emblems, use the Ceremonial Tanto after each rest.
- Hirata Estate - Second Memory, main hall idol. 3 interior ministry ninjas can be found on the rooftops and killed via stealth deathblow. Wait until the furthest back turns around and sprint past to them. Use bloodsmoke on the second to kill the third easily. Also a good source of pellets

A good farming route I use is at the senpou temple main hall; you’ll need the blood smoke ninjitsu and preferably the ceremonial tanto and bell demon. Use the tanto and run outside, then immediately backstab the monk facing away from you and use the blood smoke, then backstab the other monk and run back to the idol while you collect the items. I usually get at least one each time I do this and it only takes a couple minutes max.

2 tools are missing from the list of the ones that require Adamantite - 2 scraps for the Suzaku Phoenix Umbrella and 2 scraps for the Malcontent Whistle.
Unless my math is wrong, this brings the total number needed to get all prosthetics maxed to 32.

Old grave ashina castle, the monk with spear drops it. That monk also drops sugar 100%, 1-2 scrap magnetite, and 10%~ chance adamantite scrap (with bell buff, no baloon)

Right after defeating the Guardian Ape and Ashina castle was locked out, I warped to the Abandoned Dungeon, backtracked into the castle towards the moat. There was one right there on the ground.
Just got 3 pieces (seperate kills 1x each) from the Straw-Hat monks outside of Main Hall. Demon Bell, Virtuous Deeds lvl1, Genichiro killed, Guardian Ape killed. Definitely don't have all third tier prosthetics unlocked like someone else implied. Bloodsmoke Ninjitsu equipped > Tanto > sprint outside to the right guy and get a backstab deathblow > Bloodsmoke > deathblow the other guy > run back in and rest > repeat.

I have been able to get 4 of these so far (as a rare drop) from a spear weilding enemy at Fountainhead Palace at the feeding grounds idol area. Also note that I have the demon bell activated. From this area, jump across the way towards a building next to a broken bridge overlooking the water (go left from the idol). Then run up the bridge in a standing position and backstab him before he can stand up. He will always stand when you get near him so don't bother sneaking. He also drops other things like eel livers, scrap magnetite, mibu balloon of soul, and pellets. Also he gives you 1,060 exp when you kill him.

Guide is a bit inaccurate for farming at Senpou, for those trying to farm adamantite do the following: Beat Genichiro Beat Guardian Ape Redeem Whistle Upgrade all equipment past the third column Now head to Main Hall and farm adamantite from the spear guys

Not sure if the drop rates on the monks were nerfed by a patch or not. My setup is the following: I got past Genichiro, upgraded all items possible(except for the one dropped by guardian ape), haven't killed the ape or monk. I've went through about 50 runs with bell demon and possesion balloon(150 spear monk kills) outside main hall idol and received no adamantite scraps. With the balloon it seems they drop more magnetite and gokan sugar.

How to get Golden Vortex before killing Guardian Ape? It needs Finnger Whistle to unlock?

An easy method to farm this before the late game (requires Gachiin's Spiritfall, optional Bloodsmoke ninjutsu) Ring demon's bell, get virtuous deed. Warp to Senpou Temple Main Hall, pop Gachiin's Spiritfall to make you harder to detect. Sneak up on the 2 battle monks at the gate, just walk up to the middle and stealth kill one. If you have bloodsmoke ninjutsu, use it after the deathblow, and while the other monk is stunned in the red smoke, circle behind and backstab him too. Rinse and repeat, the adamantite will occasionally drop. Use the tanto inbetween runs to save on spirit emblems.

Once the castle is on fire, all the ministry swordsmen (basically any of the guys in red and black that don’t shoot a gun) can be reliably farmed for adamantite. I’ve had the best luck with the Underbridge Valley and Outskirts Wall - Stairway idols. I’ve also noticed that the swordsmen with the hat, mask and cape tend to drop it more often. Hope this helps.

With virtuous deed rank 2 and bell demon, you can reliably farm adamantite and magnetite off of the spear wielding monk next to the old grave idol. Long before late game(I havn't even beaten the guardian ape yet).

The guys in purple that are next to the Antechamber Idol drop them. It’s pretty rare but if you go from the Antechamber Idol stealth kill the guy in the next room then run back to Idol and rest it’s a pretty good farming method for various materials and exp.

Blue monk near Old Grave idol has a decent chance of dropping them with Bell Demon (uncommon). Just wait for him to walk left and as soon as he turns around run straight at him and backstab. His friend is easy just deflect and posture break. Blue monk also has common chance of 2 Scrap Magnetite if you’re farming

I dont know why it says the straw hats drop them. I've been farming straw hats for an hour and all I've gotten is iron scrap. This has to be wrong.

Fountainhead Palace Samctuary, walk down the stairs and drop attack the ball kicking woman to the left. Drops pretty frequently with bell demon.

I found that you can get them from the blue samurais but it only seemed to work after the first invasion of ashina and with atleast one boost in item discovery
