    • You will need 10 to upgrade every Prosthetic Tool. Players will have to make a second, new game plus cycle to get the remaining Lapis Lazuli.

Lapis Lazuli Trivia

  • Lapis Lazuli is a real life Semi-Precious gemstone that has been used for its blue color. The name is Latin, and literally means "blue stone".
  • While the stone is not expensive, its truly fine form is very rare. Which might allude to the fact only six are obtainable per NG cycle.
  • The in-game description states Lapis Lazuli as "lazulite", which is another mineral with a similar name, instead of lazurite.

I swear i saw the 3rd piece sold by Koremori. But dumb me instead buy the mask, so i have to reload to find another carp. By the time i travel back, it's not there..But it might be my brain is malfunctioning though

      • After datamining I realized they are farmable from okami warriors!
Make sure you have the effects of demon bell and mibu possession balloon.

According to the data, they have an exact 0% chance to drop

Choose two. Shuriken is the community consensus most useful

          - Shuriken improves damage whilst remaining 1 emblem, flat upgrade to gouging top as the most universally useful prosthetic
          - Axe increases damage & block pierce over other versions. The illusion clear is a bit late, but you'll have it for NG+. That said, inf snap seeds
          - Sabimaru adds the tiny poison clouds, but its only really useful on susceptible enemies and you already poison in a combo
          - Flame vent harms apparitions and living force gives a 20s buff that's like confetti, but you've got infinite confetti by the time you make it, not to mention the lilac umbrella

Personally, I think the axe is the next best, as it's a generalist damage upgrade

Multiple cycles for an item might be annoying but remember, if you want a fully upgraded prosthetic tool; then you are a perfectionist. You are not a normal gamer. Normal people have to CHOOSE which one they should upgrade and this is a very souls thing. YOU are the crazy one. :)

            • Hmm. Guess these are the Titanite Slabs of the game, huh? A shame they're so limited -- I would prefer them to be a very rare drop from the strongest Okami warriors (the ones wearing purple(?) and wielding lightning). Thematically fitting, as well as player-friendly... though I suppose it isn't as important in this game since you only need extras for 100% completion, which would require NG+ cycles anyway.

What can't this stuff do? It makes one of your weapons spout poison gas, makes one break illusions, makes one hurt apparitions and makes another go through blocks. Why couldn't we just get wolf a sword made out of this stuff

I think they should have made all the upgrades cost 2 Lapis, or made all the upgrades cost 3 lapis, I dont get why flame vent and the axe cost 3, flame vent is*****. They all have their perks, so no upgrade should get special treatment. What if you get sabimaru and the shuriken, then you have 2 lapis with nothing to spend it on, making you want either axe or vent. That or make 7 lapis in the game. Idk, not saying I want them to have infinite lapis in game, it's just a weird system they have going on here.

Lots of comments here complaining about having to play the game more than once to complete achievements and upgrades and such. It might be an unpopular opinion but a lot of people sound kind of spoiled. If you dont like the game enough to play through it multiple times just AND only for fun (or maybe solemn determination) then maybe it just isnt the right game for you. If you are only doing it for achievements then there is a possiblilty you have forgot that games are supposed to be fun, and when they stop being fun what is even the point of playing them? And i am not talking about a git gud type thing. Im just talking about having fun with something that hundreds of people put hundreds of hours into making. If it's not bringing you joy then choose another title, there are litterally thousands if not millions. There is one out there that will make you smile everytime you boot it up, so go out and find it. Praise the sun, engage in jolly cooperation, tongue but holes, drink monkey booze, throw pebbles, be quite thrilling, have fun, and most of all... don't give up skeleton!

Players who are saying they were able to get 7 of these in a single NG cycle are full of***** btw. You can only get 6

For those wondering where you get the seventh lapis, it comes from carpa/pot' shop. After you buy 2 lapis lazuli from pot. He'll sell another one lapis lazuli for another 6 carpa scale(totalling 3 lapis lazuli that you can buy from them). I'm not sure if you need to complete the pot's quest or not. Since i only bought the first 2 lapis after finish their quest. In any case this is my first playthrough and i decided to keep the carpa of dragonspring in hirata state.

On my first play through I somehow got 7 Lapis Lazuli and I dont know where the 7th one came from so there must be something that you can farm for Lapis Lazuli

Are they misable? I have done the big fish quest and killed the warrior, but I only have two... And nowhere near the carp merchants can find now the lapis :(

So after giving the Great Colored Carp Koremori's Truly Precious Bait, I did not get the Lapiz Lazuli from Carp-transformed Koremori directly like this page implies, but rather from his now vacant pot near the Sculptor Idol. This is on version 1.04

No enemy in the game drops this, and anyone who's trying to tell you that the Okami Warriors drop it is most likely lying. I made close to 70 runs with the Okami Warriors near Sanctuary Scuptor's Idol when i was doing my post-game farming run to unlock the capstone skills from each skill trees, with Demon Bell, Balloon, and Most Virtuous Deed, didn't get any. To put it into perspective, that's around 210 Okami Warriors i have killed with maximum item discovery. The items for ultimate upgrades in FromSoft's games like Blood Rock and Slabs are always limited, probably the same case for this one, too.

I think there are actually 7 per NG cycle. I'm sorry to say I don't know exactly where the 7th comes from, but I have 5 at the moment and I haven't even got to the Demon of Hatred yet. I do know I got one from the corpse of a Pot Noble after feeding the bait, and another one from talking to him in Carp Form, so maybe that's it.

Take some practice runs and learn his move set. Keep sprinting and move in to attack after his combos finish during phases 1 and 2. Some keys to the fight are: use jumps instead of side steps for the unblockable charge and the final vertical hit of his whip combo. Also, after he jumps high into the air, sprint backwards then grapple to him as he lands. Use your grapple attack the moment you’re about to land, then start swinging madly. You can get huge chunks of damage here and often stagger him to prolong the onslaught of attacks. Finally for the last phase, make sure you have Divine Confetti and Malconent. Pop a Divine Confetti then use Malcontent and beat on him. Do this twice more and it should be enough to finish him or drop his health dangerously low. (If he starts to do the fire ring, this is a good time to use Malcontent.)

Shame you can't maxout all of your shinobi gear since it'd be nice to mess about with maxed out tools for NG+ but ah well.

LMAO, people acting like they never played a souls game. Last teir enhancement. Special item needed. Titanite slab ring a bell? Blood borne was a little more generous with the blood rock, but still not farmable. Anyways, I'm gonna get the 2 easy ones out of the way on my first playthrough

                                          • Anonymous

Don’t trust the person who said you can farm these. I wasted 2 or 3 on the Shuriken one thinking I would be able to get more

                                            • Would love to hear conclusively whether there are farmable or not. Since the only person on here to make such a claim is posting anonymously, seems like it may not be true.. Sucks, would love to start ng+ with 3 maxed tools, instead of two.

                                              • Anonymous

You can get 6 per playthrough it is like the titanite slab of the previous dark souls 3, no luck for me farming it whatesoever. If you want the achievement where you upgrade all prosthetic tools you need 2 playthroughs since you need 10 lapis lazuli in total.

                                                • Anonymous

Farmed the Okami Warrior for about 1.5hrs (on ng+2) and got 0 Lapis drops. I had the Demon Bell on, and also always had a Possession balloon on.

                                                  • Anonymous

You can find one by finishing the Master Carp quest, it's a reward given by the man in the pot in Hirata or Fountain Palace You can buy 2 others from the guy in the pot in Fountain Palace, you'll have to exchange those with red scales (6 scales = 1 Lapis Lazuli)

                                                    • Anonymous
