Mottled Purple Gourd is a Quick Item in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It is used to reduce the "Terror" status buildup, and increase "Terror" resistance.
Mottled Purple Gourd Usage
- Reduces Terror buildup and slightly increases Terror resistance for a short period (30 seconds)
- This Gourd is essential for fights against Headless and Shichimen Warrior.
- This does NOT cure the Terror status abnormality!
- Contains 5 uses that are refilled upon resting at a Sculptor's Idol.
- Can be used underwater.
- Cannot be upgraded.

It can't cure terror as status abnormality, as terror causes instant death...
Spent a really long time thinking this competed for charges with the healing gourd. Don't make that mistake: it's 5 completely independent charges.
