Mountain Echo

mountain echo upgrade material sekiro wiki guide

A finger whistle that can create an echo effect. Costs Spirit Emblems to use.

Its sound will grab an enemy's attention and draw them to the whistle's location. By locking on to a target, only the targeted enemy will hear the whistle.

Taking a deep breath before performing a whistle allows for the sound to be delayed.

Spirit Emblem Cost 3

Mountain Echo is a Prosthetic Tool in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, equipped via the Prosthetic Arm and which can be used alongside the primary weapon, the Kusabimaru, in the other, biological, hand.

These Tools, varying from the Loaded Shuriken to the Shinobi Firecracker, are equipped via the Prosthetic Arm and can be swapped out on the fly, allowing for creative and innovative  solutions to the many exploratory challenges the player may face.

How to use Mountain Echo

  • The lure/enrage effect of the whistle can now be delayed, triggering a few seconds after activation.
  • Can be used to allow Sekiro to move to a better position prior to getting the attention of an enemy
  • When used around animals or beasts (e.g Monkeys, Wolves, etc.) they will attack any and all mobs, this can be useful for large groups of mobs or as distractions.

this does not work on regular human enemies only beasts for some reason for me.
saw videos of people luring blue samurais inside ashina castle the 2nd time you are in the castle after they are invaded, they blew the whistle and it lured them to come and get deathblowed from a wall grab.
i tried it, blowing the whistle doesnt do anything, they dont react, at all. was it patched out?

There is a part where you have to fight a miniboss+a regular enemy in a tight space on fire. This***** just saved me hours, managed to pull the regular guy and backstab him :D

        • SPOILER Does anyone know if this is supposed to work against the return Guardian Ape boss fight's mate? The second, brown Ape that shows up during the second phase, obviously it shouldn't work against the boss himself, since he's.... y'know undead or whatever. I'd think it makes sense, since you get the original whistle from him, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect that I can see.
