Okinaga's Flame Vent (息長の火吹き筒, ambiguously Okinaga's Fire Emission Pipe or Long-Blowing Fire Emission Pipe) is a Prosthetic Tool Upgrade in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, equipped via the Prosthetic Arm and which can be used alongside the primary weapon, the Kusabimaru, in the other, biological, hand.
How to use Okinaga's Flame Vent
- R2: Release a burst of flame in front of you, dealing fire damage and building up the "burn" status effect on any enemies hit.
- Hold R2: Releases an explosion of flame in front of you, dealing increased fire/burn damage and propelling the user backwards.
- R2/Hold R2 + Hold R2 after initial blast: Releases a steady stream of fire which causes fire/burn damage to enemies hit. Consumes additional spirit emblems over time.

Okinaga's Flame Vent Story & Lore
- Those with Red Eyes are dangerous, and filled with a rage that is difficult to control through the power of man alone. They do, however, fear the flame above all else. This loathing of flames is shared by the undead inhabitants of Mibu Village.
- Fear of flame is a recurring concept in FromSoftware titles and typically applies to Undead [1], Beasts [2], and Dark beings.

Just a small detail, but as a head canon since it uses the Pine Resin Ember, I like to believe that the upgrade is named after Inuhiko, and his full name is Okinaga Inuhiko.

Does the Flame Vent increase damage if i upgrade the Attack Power further & further on ? Like at 20 AP lets say it deals 400 Vitality per Blast Use , if i'm at 40 AP does it mean now it deals roughly around 600-650 Vitality now ? I want a clear speculation of this particular Prosthetic.... cuz we know the Axe & Spear deal more dmg the more AP Sekiro has.

The fact that it's called Okinaga's Flame Vent kinda baffles me, like ot was invented by someone named Okinaga. I was disappointed to see no lore on this name in the description. Same thing goes for Suzaku's Lotus Umbrella and Phoenix's Lilac Umbrella.

I’d say it’s useful against human mini bosses. It’s really easy to cheese them with fire

Still confused on the benefit of using the continuous stream of flame. The damage is negligible (actually less than just a regular blast of the vent), the enemies are not stunned and you spend more emblems.
great combustion sekiro version
