Pellet

pellet quick item sekiro wiki guide

Medicinal Pellets that slowly restore Vitality.

A secret treatment passed down for generations in these lands, records say it has been used in battles since times long gone, and lent to the famed resilience of Ashina warriors.

A pill case full of these pellets would also serve as a battle charm.

For those needing pellets very near the end of the game (night, after castle is on fire), the best place I've found to farm these is from the shogun in ashina reservoir. He is the one standing next the seven ashina spears boss. He respawns as a normal enemy after you defeat the boss here. Use Gachiin's sugar/spiritfall for effortless stealth kills. With the respawn idol being right next to you its the easiest rinse n repeat method in the game. With most virtuous deed skill he always drops between 1-3 pellets. You can probably get the same drop rate with virtuous deed+mibu balloon of wealth but I haven't tested that.

Came in very handy at the start of the game, but I wish they were slightly more common in early areas. I burned through all my supply, particularly on lady butterfly. After guardian ape and especially after the two Breath of Life skills, I kind of forgot pellets even existed. Got over 60 in my bag at fountainhead, so no idea why you'd need to be farming pellets at all. Maybe on higher NGs they'll come in useful again.

Pellets heal for roughly the same amount as a Gourd use, only as an over-time effect. Fantastic for keeping your Gourds up between scuffed basic enemy encounters, saving those Gourd charges for mid-battle use.

Wish you could hold 5 instead of 3 though. You can stockpile so much of these even you shove em into your face like Sengoku-era Buncha Crunch.

pellets are like lifegems but right, you can only carry 3, you can beat the game without em (something thats impossible in ds2)

            • You can farm these & xp early in the Hirata Estate bamboo thicket from the purple robe guy guarding the Raven Mist w/o fighting him. The moment he sees you immediately sprint away toward the cliff, but run to the left-ish side of the cliff (facing the river), then keep a quick eye on him as he comes sprinting after you and BEFORE he gets close enough to you to assume battle stance, sprint off the cliff. But he has to be in full sprint still for this to work. If done correctly, he will sprint off with you & immediately sink to the bottom of the river and die lol! Then just vacuum up the loot. But he only seems to run off the left-ish side of the cliff not the rest of it. 316xp, 58 gold, & drops 2 pellets at a time. Rinse, repeat, (55 sec) If he doesn't jump off with you, then go back up and stealth deathblow him as he casually strolls back up the steps.

Best farming location for these is place before flower viewpoint in fountainhead palace. Also good farming of sens, skill points and waxes. Just ring the demon bell, teleport to idol in front of bridge broken by carp, near the tower to the left grapple on the roof and stealth clean naginatana warrior and two bowmens, then run back, still on the roof and plunge kill purple naginatana warior, kill blue noble before he will enchant you and proceed to stealthy killing all enemies on the courtyard. It is easy endgame farming location.

I... I just realized what the joke was with these. "A pill case full of these pellets can serve as a battle charm" - it's making fun of the fact that players tend not to use limited consumables, so most of us end up having a bunch of these around for nothing more than good luck.

basically drugs. despite having gourd on first quick slot and staying healty through breath of life skills, i find myself buying every pellet on shops then farming pellets on every stage. stop before its too late.

Sold my 233 Ceramic shards but can’t find anymore pellets. They stop dropping as much when you progress.

So...does carrying 3 out of 3 pellets in your inventory actually act as a 'battle charm'? Or is that just another From-style 'description boxes offer vital information and lies at the same time'?
