Online play is not a feature of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The game is a completely single-player experience and features no cooperative or multiplayer options. Further, the game has no Asynchronous features such as leaderboards, messages or player ghosts.

Players will, however, receive Patches via online connectivity as with any other single player game.

Although pvp wont be added anymore i do feel like to could have been cool or hell maybe not pvp and just PvE? I know some people will just say "gut gud" but come on it would be so cool to run around with the boys fighting enemies since combat is so satisfying and looks so fluid it would be enjoyable to watch, while i personally wont like pvp PvE would have been fine in my book.

While I agree that pvp would be a *****ing mess, wouldn't it be cool to have coop? Make it so it's a ng+ feature. (replaybility increased) Once you have completed the game you can blow a whistle, make a squad of shinobis appear from nowhere and wait silently on a rooftop only to drop onto a bunch of enemies simultaneously and deathblow them. Think about it, it'd be *****ing cool and fun. No friendly fire. Enemies have more health and maybe do more damage. Perfection. There might be some problems due to characters customization but you can always make the "phantoms" wear some kind of outfit like the purple/black shinobis ingame enemies with different colors and textures while the "host" is sekiro. (I would pay to look like that instead of sekiro's orange garb) They would be Isshin shinobis helping the wolf. It isn't that far fetched if you ask me. That along Tomoe story would make up for a magnificent DLC.

        • Along with the fact that I think an online element would break the game experience. It doesn't make any sense because unlike the other Fromsoft games your character is predetermined. You play as the Wolf. That's it. Any PvP or Co-op would be what..a bunch of clones with different color jackets for easy identification running around competing for stealth kills? Yeah I love the Soulsborn community and all but it just doesn't fit here. They might be able to make it work with some DLC or something however Id rather they expand on the story/world instead.

The game is hard enough. Why in the hell would anybody want to be invaded in a game where being overwhelmed is almost certain death? Like it's bad enough all the enemies know martial arts, then some asshole invades your game so they can sneak up on you while you're in the middle of a battle and stealth kill you for*****s and giggles. No. I practiced and practiced with each boss until I got good enough to beat them. The last thing I need is someone stealth killing me in the middle of a fight just for the lulz. Go back to dark souls where you belong. Not every game needs to have a ***** you playstyle implemented in it.

I understand a lot of people are upset about the lack of multiplayer in Sekiro. However, bashing each other, whether casul or Meta, is not going anywhere. I don't think summons should be in Sekiro; It would break the game and make it too easy. However, I think a PvP setting outside of players' worlds, like undead matches from DSIII, might work. It would not work exactly the same, but it is a groundwork. You might even have "allegiances" (covenants) that affect the PvP. Maybe Isshin asks you to help the Nightjar Ninja, or you are bribed by a wounded easterner in the endgame. What we need are ideas, not complaining. Maybe we can satisfy everyone.

People here complaining about no PvP, am I the only one who misses reading dumb messages and watching other players die in idiotic ways via blood stains?

online mode for Sekiro would be a terrible idea imo, unless you do pvp in a particular area, but just the idea of someone sneaking on you when you're on a mini-boss would make the game unplayable. Same, coop would just make the bosses trivial since all you had to do is sandwich him and it's done. I don't see how you could add that.

I personally think that they should add in a multiplayer realm where there are all new bosses, co-op play, invasions, create a character, and obviously the pvp summons, I understand why they were doing a single player game, but this would definitely be a great idea as a DLC

The game not having any cooperative play is exactly why it got boring so damn fast and I went straight back to playing Bloodborne again which still have a ton of people playing it despite it's a game that came out in 2015.

I'm really glad that they actually focused on this game being a single-player only experience. I don't feel that PvP would fit into this game very well... or, I don't know, maybe it would, but I don't think it needs it.

funny how everybody is complaining about missing pvp... Am I the only one who enjoyed playing the game coop with his bros? I think that the true loss

                            • Why are there people here pretending that Dark Souls was some major eSport that is now dead? No one cares about PVP, if you played Dark Souls for PVP, you are playing the wrong game. PVP never took skill, it was one key meta build that dominated every thing else. You know why? Cause From don't give a ***** about that***** either, it was just fun little sideshow for the game. Most PVP players are current crying in here about no online because they are getting their ass handed to them by an old lady with two daggers and her feet, the real reason you crying is because you want to summon the boys to help. And hey, Dark Souls is still there for you, go and play it.

The sheer amount of autism in this comment section is just fantastic. "oh noes, i cant interrupt someones game! terrible game 2/10!" inb4 casual who gets bullied; I've done my fair share of invading and getting invaded in dark souls. It's fun, but its nice to see From finally decide to say "this is how the game is to be played", not a s.hitshow of min maxed builds

*****ing cancerous casuals celebrating that there is no pvp Cuz u got angry that some dude online killed u in a game that U yourself agreed to buying? Only a *****ing arts major douchebag would call invasions bullying. To all of u who complained about getting invaded and celebrating this. Suck on my great white serpent.
