You can also aquire a devine grass in Senpou Temple Mt. Kongo idol. Continue through the level as usual and in a room, right before you get to the woman that tells you about the fresh fruit of the serpent. You can get one from infront of the immortal monk.

The English version differs from Japanese/Korean and Chinese. The original text claims when the divine dragon arrived in Ashina, it absorbed all the local spirits. It's symbolic of how Buddhism arrived in Japan and replaced many local religion.

This is missing the Divine Grass available in Ashina Outskirts, in the gatehouse just past the Chained Ogre which overlooks the courtyard where General Tenzen Yamauichi is posted. It's in the room which can only be accessed by grappling back from the cave where the first Headless is located (the door connecting it to the rest of the gatehouse only opens from the other side)

1x given by Kuro after reaching the Fountainhead Palace and speaking to him. May require multiple rests at the idol - exact trigger is unclear.

This and Mortal Draw are more for “backup plan” type scenarios. Divine Grass instantly heals you fully if you run out of Gourds and you’re close to beating a boss, and Mortal Draw is good for doing a ton of damage if you’re about to lose too. So it’s not a matter of being scared to use these, just use them in the worst case scenario.

Kuro will give you one if you have killed the boss on Vermilion Bridge after the shinobi invasion saying that you seem "wounded" making a total of seven Divine Grass items.

I’ve found a ton of these in ng+ I’m pretty sure they replace almost all of the key items/prosthetic tools

Now Kuro gave me the second time "Divine Grass" i dont know how it triggers, but when i visit him/her he/she say "you are wounded take this" "maybe different in english play it with the german subtitels". At the time i was not wounded, full life and resurrect bars. Im in my first playtrough, not defeated owl the second time at hirata part 2 and not defeated the divine dragon. But i visited the Fountainhead Palace "defeated Monk". I have now 7 Divine Grass the 2 at the Fountainhead Palace are not collected, this will be 9 for my Playthrough. Anyone know how it triggers that kuro gave some?

This is the item I never use because I'm saving it for a harder fight and then I end up never using it because I'm scared I'll waste it

Tfw you use those in a boss fight and then you die, i completely wasted 3 like that. I wish we could save and re-load to avoid this bull*****
