Interior Ministry is a category of enemy in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The Red Guard is comprised of elite soldiers equipped with katanas and even flamethrowers and firebombs. The Shinobi division is distinguished by its purple uniform and rigorous training.

Interior Ministry enemies can be found throughout the game, and are part of the invading forces that attack Ashina near endgame.

 Story & Lore

  •  Interior Ministry may be a tribute to Oda Nobunaga, the first of the Three Unifiers of Japan, who was formally called Oda Right Ministry (織田右府,  Oda Ufu) in his time, because he held the position of the Right Minister of the Court. Nobunaga is well-known for his extensive use of firearms and aggressive battle strategies.
