Stealth is a mechanic in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice used by the protagonist to approach enemy encampments, explore, and plan and execute attacks.
Stealth in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Players can go into stealth by clicking the L3/Left Stick to crouch, and can slowly approach enemies or stalk from high ground. Getting near groups of enemies can allow the player to eavesdrop on them, learning of their plans.
Use Your Environment
The environment can help the player to sneak more effectively: look around you for ways to use your surroundings, such as finding long grass to help to hide you. These surroundings are dynamic, so if the grass is burned away, for example, your cover disappears.
You've Been Spotted!
When enemies become suspicious of your sneaking around, they will come to investigate. A triangle above their head will appear in yellow once they are suspicious, and will turn red once they have spotted you.
