I have a theory that this is actually the reason that the divine dragon is missing an arm. I dont know the specifics obviously, but it makes sense to me. Either someone cut off the dragon's arm and it turned into a sakura branch, or its arm withered but didnt rot, or maybe the everblossom tree was connected to the divine dragon and was a representation of it outside of the divine realm, and all of the damage the tree took is also dealt to the divine dragon. For example maybe it only had 2 branches and one was cut, and maybe it was struck by lightning, which is why it has the huge gauge in its torso.
