Water of the Palace is a Key Item in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It is used to further an NPC questline in Mibu Village, giving you Dragonspring Sake and later 5 Treasure Carp Scales.
Water of the Palace Usage
- Return to the Head Priest of Mibu Village in Mibu Village.
- He will give you 1x Dragonspring Sake as a reward.
- Reload the area to find the Priest changed into a unique Red-garbed Palace Noble (Blue Garb)
- Kill to receive 5x Treasure Carp Scales.
How to Find Water of the Palace
- Go to the Fountainhead Palace: Flower Viewing Stage Sculptor's Idol
- Turn around from the idol and go back through to the courtyard where you fought the palace noble and the Okami warrior wearing purple. Go up the stairs to your right, and there is a hole in the floorboards right at the end of a white "blood" trail. Dive in. The Water of the Palace is in the chest against the far wall.

What the **** "the garden" is supposed to be? Going backwards from the Flower Viewing Stage idol, there is no garden or anything that would remotely resemble one.

You can also enter by doing an underwater jump and grappling to the roof

Head to the Wedding Cave Door in the Ashina Depths, backtrack to the giant house with a mob of enemies outside it trying to get in, crouch under the opening and gain access through the Shinobi floor of the house and you can give the NPC here Water of the Palace, rest at the idol then come back and kill the NPC who has transformed in to a Noble for five Carp scales.
My game crashed right when I gave this to the head priest.
