- Pink stones, like the Shelter Stone, will appear in the bodies of those who have long drunk from the Fountainhead Waters. Pink is the color of many things in Sekiro, like cherry blossoms, resurrection, and soul related items like the Mibu Balloon of Soul. The Rejuvenating Waters spring from the Dragon's Blood, making it sensible to assume there's something dragon-like about these crystals. In Dark Souls, crystals and other minerals were analogously connected to Dragons. Crystals in particular, were connected to Seath the Scaleless, the grandfather of Soul Sorcery who derived his immortality from The Primordial Crystal. Pinkishness is also related to Dragon Children and the pathology of The Chained Ogre. Gigantism in Dark Souls was often a result of devouring souls, which are pink in Sekiro, potentially explaining what's happening to the Chained Ogre. Remarkably, the theme of "fragrant blood stones" was initially intended for Bloodborne, yet it ended up being cut. The recovering of Bloodborne's missing blood stone dialogue was the work of Sanadsk & co.
