A unique text of the legendary Ashina Mushin Compound Style. Young Isshin would stop at nothing in his lust for power, and this single-minded search for strength ended in him taking Ashina for his own. This is the result of combining techniques from the styles he encountered. This drive defined Isshin's achievements and as such, this text will never be finished.

Mushin Esoteric Text is a Key Item in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. This unlocks the Mushin Arts Skill Tree. It is received from the Tengu of Ashina when speaking with him by the Great Serpent Shrine Idol Sculptor's Idol behind Ashina Castle after learning any Secret Technique.

• Unlocks the Mushin Arts Skill Tree

How to Find Mushin Esoteric Text

• Defeat Genichiro Ashina and speak with Isshin Ashina to learn the location of the Mortal Blade. This will move the Tengu of Ashina to the Great Serpent Shrine Sculptor's Idol in Ashina Castle.
• Speak with the Tengu of Ashina at the Great Serpent Shrine Sculptor's Idol after learning a Special Technique (Combat Art) in any Skill Tree.
• If you proceed far enough into the story that the Tengu of Ashina has left the Great Serpent Shrine Sculptor's Idol but you have not yet obtained the Mushin Esoteric Text from him, Emma will give you the Mushin Esoteric Text after the events at Fountainhead Palace.
• Alternatively, if you proceed far enough into the story that you are able to eavesdrop on Emma and Isshin in Isshin's room, you can talk to Isshin and he will ask if you have learned any secret techniques then award you the text.
