Isshin's Letter is a Key Item in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. This lore note reveals a relationship between Isshin Ashina and Emma.
Isshin's Letter Usage
- Gives a lore insight into the relationship between Isshin Ashina and Emma.
- Can be given to Emma, Only if the player does not talk to the Tengu of Ashina before reuniting with her.
How to Find Isshin's Letter
- Found in Ashina Castle. From Upper Tower - Ashina Dojo Idol, go downstairs and left, defeat two samurai and slice the door behind them. A passage leads to 3 Tengu enemies. Defeat them and go upstairs to find the letter.
Isshin's Letter Notes & Tips
- gives the player additional insight into Isshin and Emma's connection (and Isshin's activities as the Tengu of Ashina).
- If given to Emma she instructs the player to inspect the watchtower beside where you previously fought Gyoubu Oniwa. (Where the Tengu of Ashina can be found)

Not sure if this is bugged? Emma doesn't have any new dialogue after obtaining this letter.

I can't find Isshin after finding his letter, could anyone help?

Can confirm that this note is used to direct the players who missed the first Tengu encounter back to him. If you don't talk to him after beating Gyoubu, then pick up this note, beat Genichiro, and talk to Emma after Kuro asks you to talk to Isshin, Sekiro tells her that Isshin was not in his tower and she specifically tells him to look in the big tower near the battlefield. Pretty sure Isshin won't appear until you talk to Tengu.
