Sen Throw is a Prosthetic Tool in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, equipped via the Prosthetic Arm and which can be used alongside the primary weapon, the Kusabimaru, in the other, biological, hand.
These Tools, varying from the Loaded Shuriken to the Shinobi Firecracker, are equipped via the Prosthetic Arm and can be swapped out on the fly, allowing for creative and innovative solutions to the many exploratory challenges the player may face.
How to use Sen Throw
- Press : Sen Throw - Throw coins
- Hold : Raining Money - Scatters a large amount of sen
Where to find Sen Throw in Sekiro
- Available to be unlocked after the Gouging Top prosthetic upgrade.
- Crafted from upgrade menu using:
- 2000 sen
- 2 Adamantite Scrap
- 4 Scrap Magnetite
- 4 Scrap Iron
Sen Throw Notes & Tips
- Below is a table showing how many Sen you will throw based on how much money you are holding. Each Sen that connects does about 25-30% of the damage of the base Loaded Shuriken.
- Total damage at 501+ sen: 0.7x health and 1.5x posture, charged mode: 1.1x and 2.2x.

wrecked armored warrior so hard, the vitality damage of this thing isnt great but the posture slaps.
combined with chasing slice, it's another tool in the boss wrecking armory

Well, it's just good for point-blank shots so it's pretty situational. Definitely don't use it if you prefer long range shots but this definitely eats through enemies' posture considerably

Are you guys, like, not aware you can equip two different shuriken at once??
I keep seeing people say "just use Lazulite," etc., but... why not both? One is a pistol, the other is a shotgun. Depending on the situation, both can be extremey useful.

Hold up... 5 Sen thrown at a time is the max and each deals 25 - 30% of the damage of the BASE Loaded Shuriken? So you're telling me I'm wasting 200% Spirit Emblems for a possible max 125 - 150% damage ON TOP of costing me Sen? It's literally worse than the base Shuriken, then... at least that thing costs 1 Spirit Emblem for 100% damage (thus 2 throws costs 2 Spirit Emblems, for 200% damage) without costing additional resources...

This upgrade is VERY unintuitive, considering how you've learned to use the shuriken up to this point. You use it as a long-range harass tool for basically the entire game. But when you get this, it's a major disappointment because the damage is pathetic even with a big ass bank and the range is meh. Like the guy below me said [29 Mar 2019 22:18], it can deal more damage that a lazulite shuriken at point-blank range, and has a chance to stagger a bit, but this goes against how you use a shuriken 99 percent of the time. The fact it cost spirit emblems on top of that, doesn't help it at all.

It is disappointing that this does not scale infinitely. Even more disappointing is this thing does max damage (which is pathetic) at the cost of killing about 5-10 enemies. Useless upgrade. Get it for the trophy and that's it.

This should not cost spirit emblems. Would be best used while goofing around. Hopefully From puts an update out that would eliminate the use of spirit emblems.

I have over 96000 sen (just popped all my money bags after 4 playthroughs) and this thing still does absolutely no damage to anything. What am I missing? 44AP, NG+4 It also still only uses 10 (or 15 if charged) sen, whereas I feel like it should be throwing more money given how much I have. The fact that it also costs 2 spirit emblems to use blows. It'd be cool if this ability took more sen, didn't cost any spirit emblems, but also actually did damage. You know, give some use to the sen that becomes so useless past NG. Am I missing something? am I using it wrong? Like, what is going on. 96000 sen and it does less than its alternatives (phantom kunai, lazulite shuriken), while costing the same or more in spirit emblems. I've also tried using it up close so that all the coins might hit. Still garbage, even then.

This skill is useless compared to others. You can see for yourself in a recent video I posted on Youtube. Sekiro - Sen Toss Skill - Tested 100,000 and 200,000 Gold & with 99 attack power - Max attack power

With 10.000 Sen: a tap or R2 trow 10 Sen, holding R2 send out 15 Sen

I have 67000 Sen so far. Can I just destroy the last boss' second phase with it?

Did some testing with Sen amounts 0 sen = nothing but dust is thrown, like it says. Still costs 2 spirit 1 - 250 sen = 1 coin thrown (tap) costs 1 sen 1 coin thrown (hold) costs 1 sen 250-500 sen = 3 coins thrown (tap) costs 5 sen 8 coins thrown (hold) costs 8 send 500+ sen = 5 coins thrown (tap) costs 10 sen 11 coins thrown (hold) costs 15 sen I didn't notice an increase in damage or coins past 500, and tested up to 50k Damage seems to be based on the individual coins. While a hit with all 11 coins is more damaging than a lazurite shuriken, it's range sucks and it costs twice as much spirit. However, it's super effective at breaking enemy poise at point-blank range by spamming it. This is very costly to spirit emblems, but very entertaining.

Not sure if there's an upper limit, but with around 50k sen and getting up close to the enemy (it's a shotgun effect) Sen Throw appears to still be weaker than a regular sword attack and seems rather lackluster.
