Very worthy the 3 skill point upgraded Mikiri Counter... it's basically around 70% more posture damage if u pull a Mikiri.... with this Skill you can 1 shot any Lesser Bandit Spear enemy when they use Thrust.... plus LoneShadow Ninja final Kanji'd Kick can be Mikiri Countered it builds their Posture Bar by instant 50% so 2 mikiri they are DEAD. Normal Loneshadows , while Mini Bosses Loneshadows require 3 successful Mikiri to finish off them with deathblow thru Posture Break... Plus it is VERY important upgrade when going against main Bosses : Genichiro all encounters , Corrupted True Monk , Isshin Ashina & Saint , Emma , Owl Father. Then pretty much all Loneshadows , Generals , Ashina Spears , Enshin Misen Mini Bosses..... pretty much you can Mikiri all enemies who have Swords , Kicks mainly Loneshadows & Spears as weapons of course

Alright class here is today's lesson on padding a skill tree to slow game progression and maintain a challenge... So yes you have to get it to function as intended late game. It's not a play style or advantage. Your just severely handicapped by not paying for a required counter attack in a game that features boss built around countering attacks with this counter. Did that seem circuitous and pointless? It should.
