Combat art that builds momentum in a series of leaping slashes, and can transition into mid-air prosthetic attacks.
A secret art of the Way of Tomoe, which she performed in her master's honor. The sakura blossoms will soon fall. If you cannot return home, at least allow this dance to console you.
How to Acquire Sakura Dance
- Complete the Gauntlet of Strength: Divine Heir to obtain it as a reward.
Sakura Dance Notes & Tips
- After using this skill, you can transition into any prosthetic tool in the air. For example, the lazulite axe followed up with fang and blade can be used for a good chunk of posture damage while also being a pretty stylish combo.
- This combat art can be used to redirect lightning attacks, even if you have no spirit emblems when you perform it. While it doesn't seem to do much more damage without specific timing, it does seem to remove the slight vitality penalty caused by redirecting lightning without it. Even after redirecting lightning with this skill, you can still use any prosthetic tool, creating even more combo opportunity against foes with lightning attacks.
- Deals 3x health and 2x posture damage, 1.5x and 2x without emblems. Blocking reduces health damage by 44%.

You can use this to jump over quite the number of attacks, like Owl's firecracker attack for example.

In my experience this thing's damage is pretty underwhelming. It's your best friend against lightning, but for any other scenario you'll get more milage out of Dragon Flash, EMD, or One Mind. It's not a bad skill, but it's a bit too overspecialized for how much of a ***** it is to unlock. Inner geni gave me almost as much trouble as the old man with the glock.

If you want to use this to redirect lightning, do note that you need to get rid of that habbit of jumping when you see a lightning attack, since the air version of this doesn't elevate you

I dont care if this makes me look like even more of a weeb than i already am but it looks sick and im never going to unequip it

For Sakura Dance, there is a method where you can land a 4th sword strike after taking lightning strike from Isshin/ Genichiro. You'll just have to figure out how.

Submitting myself to being dunked on by Inner Genichiro was well worth it. This thing is amazing. The best part is that you jump so high that using it negates most of the dangers in this game, lmao. It’s like a free get out of jail card, but with damage. And style, a lot of it.

This move will make any fight with a boss/enemy that uses Lightning very easy, as using it means instant lightning reversal, which shaves off a quarter or so of the enemy's vitality. THIS INCLUDES INNER ISSHIN/SAINT ISSHIN, so make sure you have it in NG+ playthroughs. Tested it on inner Isshin, the first phase was easiest, the second phase was the hardest and most brutal but with this move, in the third phase it was all a matter of pushing him to do the lightning attack and he went down quickly after that.

It's hard to go back to using anything else after learning this, lol.

Am I missing something, because when I use a loaded axe variant after the combat art, it takes up 4 spirit emblems on impact, when it should be 2, for a total of 5 in one combo

Surprised they only added 1 combat art. Not complaining, it's awesome, but I guess that's expected since the update is free.

i destroyed the guardian ape with this, he spams a lot his grab attack and normally you can jump on him after he finishes it, but with this skill you can punish him very hard

From what I've noticed: THis is /insanely/ powerful for a 1 spirit emblem attack. All 3 hits can be buffed, too, either with Lightning, Divine Confetti, Flame/Sacred Flame buff and Bestowal. You can also dodge a lot of attacks with it cause you jump so high into the air on the third hit.
I've been wondering, though, is this as good as one mind? One Mind *shreds* but this is.. pretty powerful too. Also easier to pull off, and it seems like it does similar if not same or higher damage!

Can be used to redirect lightning, if timed correctly all 3 hits will carry the buff...

Lazulite Sacred Flame Weapon Buff --> Charged Lazulite Axe --> Fang And Blade --> Sakura Dance --> Lazulite Axe -->Fang and Blade
Probably the most stylish combo possible, though likely not very practical unless you're against Juzou or other similarly slow, bulky bosses.
